What Is Landing Page?

A landing page is a single web page built to get a visitor to take one specific action — usually request a quote or call you.

Your homepage tries to do everything — explain the company, list services, show reviews, link to a blog. A landing page does one thing: turn a specific visitor into a lead. If you run a Google ad for roof repair in Coral Springs, the click should land on a page that talks only about roof repair in Coral Springs, with one clear way to get in touch.

For contractors, landing pages usually pair with paid ads or a specific service page. The rule of thumb: one page, one job, one call-to-action. The fewer choices you give a visitor, the more likely they are to take the one you want.

Landing pages also make it much easier to see what's working. Because each page targets one service and one area, you can tell exactly which ad, which service, and which city are producing calls — and which ones are wasting money.

Real example

An HVAC company runs Google Ads for 'AC repair Pompano Beach.' Instead of sending clicks to the homepage, they send them to a page titled 'AC Repair in Pompano Beach' with a phone number in the header, three reviews from Pompano customers, and a short 'Request Service' form. Same ad spend, roughly 2x the phone calls.
